What a joke. Just wait for the torrents to show up if you want to watch this train wreck of a joke. Fast and Furious called, they wanted you to know that even they aren't this horrible anymore. They moved on. Maybe you should have to.

It was basically a circlejerk for Ford and the Mustang. The Sesto looked terrrrrribly, which is saying something. Maybe enthusiasts would notice all these details but come on. That is just unacceptable.

I'll give them this, the sound recording they did to dub over the cars was convincing at times. at the very least they put more effort into recreating engine sounds than Polyphony has ever done. /rimshot

Did you buy a Mustang?

I managed to enjoy the film going in with zero expectations. I appreciated that the stunts were all real to an extent, i believe their claim of no CGI since you can tell all the cars are replicas that haven't been touched up digitally to conceal the rough edges. My inner car enthusiast had to be switched off to avoid being bothered by the very cheap looking replicas but overall it was okay. Also the chick he drives around with is pretty.

D+

It's made to appeal to 13 year old boys who still think going 400 mph in a lambo is the entirety of car culture.

I saw it too. I was disappointed.

SPOILERS AHEAD

Okay, so Aaron Paul gets out of jail, and a rich guy, who bought the mustang that Paul and his buddies built, just decided to let Aaron Paul borrow a 2.7 million dollar mustang? Also, a 2.7 million dollar mustang? I know it was Shelby's, but shit. 3 million? Also, jumping a mustang over a hill, without taking any type of suspension damage? Also, Aaron Paul got lucky that his former ex decided to essentially hand him the address to the Koenigsegg? Also, how did you start that Koenigsegg? I know you didn't just hotwire that shit.

Also, that Pete kid who saw the Koenigsegg for the first time. "Uh is that some type of Ferrari? herpderp?" I audibly went, NO FUCKWIT, ITS A KOENIGSEGG. HOW DO YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT CARS, AND NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS STUFF.

Also, that was the entire end race? That's it? That final race was so short. So you're telling me, you raced across the country for that shit? Also, if you didn't get that Koenigsegg, what were you planning on doing? Racing a mustang against a P1, Sesto Elemento, and a Veyron? Also, that Veyron was painted in SuperSport colors, but was a regular 16.4. Also, Dominic Cooper's character wasn't at all suspected in racing during the beginning? I'M SURE THERE WERE PLENTY OF PEOPLE WHO SAW 3 CARS, AND REPORTED IT TO THE POLICE. ALSO SURVEILLANCE CAMERAS FROM BUILDINGS.

Back to the mustang. 230mph, on a race track, that didn't have any long long straights. I mean, I could have sworn the speedo said that he entered a curve at 150mph. That's like F1 speeds. If this guy could tune a car like this to F1 spec, why are you having money troubles?

ALSO, HOW DOES KID CUDI GET PERMISSION TO FLY A MILITARY HELICOPTER. I UNDERSTAND HE COULD HAVE SAID, I'M A COMMANDING OFFICER OF THE PILOT, BUT HE DIDN'T EVEN HAVE ANY MILITARY GEAR ON. WHAT THE HELL.

Also, Dominic Cooper, if you have to resort to pushing people off the road to win a race, you suck at driving. Also, you're an indy car driver/owner of car parts shop. I'm sure if you entered an illegal street race, sponsors would pull their names from your organization.

TLDR: At least Fast and Furious made sense (relative to the reality portrayed in NFS)
